Lunchtime conversation: Rethinking the design team OS

ÌníOlúwa Abíódún is a design leader exploring what humane leadership looks like as AI reshapes how teams work. She is building the design practice at an industrial AI company, where the stakes are high and mistakes are costly.

For over thirteen years, ÌníOlúwa's career has moved between hands-on craft and leading teams, at companies including AirOps, Intercom and Gen Digital. At Intercom, she designed how businesses set up and come to trust Fin AI agent. At AirOps, she led design on AI output quality, helping customers in regulated industries inspect, question and stand behind AI-generated content. She also led the rebrand and design system as shared infrastructure for people and AI agents, bringing the design team closer to customers and product decisions.

ÌníOlúwa has spoken on AI and design leadership at UX London, INTERFACE London, and the Design+AI Summit. She writes In Good Company, a newsletter exploring design, creativity and leadership in the age of AI. She mentors designers building careers in an AI world and co-organises Designers Building Cool Shit, a community where designers share what they’re building and shipping with AI.
