Popping hype bubbles

Hype bubbles have always existed, from AJAX to Blockchain, and our newest, most pervasive kid on the block, AI.

Bubbles of technology impact us directly - either as a top-down initiatives plonked into our laps, or technology led solutions looking for high value problems. As design leaders, this is where we either thrive or perish.

Finding the right balance for us, our teams, and our broader organisations is critical so we don’t waste time chasing our tails, or letting then technology tail wag the experience design dog.

Marla will draw on her experience of navigating previous hype bubbles and to help us consider how to ride and harness these bubbles, in face of rapid change. This isn’t the first, and it won’t be the last.
